NEW BOOK - THE ANIMATION BIBLE by Maureen Furniss published by Laurence King, is a guide to animation film-making covering most aspects of practical animation in great detail with many colour illustrations. It includes a section on Bush's scratched-on-film work
DVDS
Paul Bush - Pixilated includes all the stop frame animation and
many extras including interviews, early films and commercials. Paul
Bush - Working Directly includes all the scratched on film animation
and interviews, commercials, the complete storyboard for The Albatross
and the pilot footage for an uncompleted Imax film. They are launched

DISTRIBUTION
DEALS
L'Agence du court metrage is distributing 12 prints of While Darwin
Sleeps... in French cinemas until June 2010. The Netherlands Institute
for Animated Films is distributing film prints and DVDs of Furniture
Poetry in the Benelux countries until 2010.
BOOKS
The Animate! Book (published by Lux) edited by Benjamin Cook
and Gary Thomas contains an interview with Bush.
Unsung Heroes of Animation (John Libbey Publishing) contains
thirty one essays by Chris Robinson and includes an essay on Bush which
reviews and contextualises his most important films.
Animation Unlimited by Liz Faber and Helen Waters, features
50 seminal short films by animators around the world including The Albatross
by Paul Bush. The book includes pages of illustrations of all the films
and a DVD. (Laurence King publishing £28).
While
Darwin Sleeps... is in permanent exhibition with the Walter Linsenmaier
exhibition of insects at the Natural History Museum, Luzern.
